The Illinois State women's tennis team is set to commence its 2024-2025 fall schedule this weekend at the Redbird Invitational. The event will take place from September 27 to 29 at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts in Normal, Illinois.
The tournament will begin each day at 9 a.m., starting with doubles matches followed by singles matches.
Returning for Illinois State is MVC All-Conference Honoree Silvia Pomarolli. The team will also rely on Elena Jankulovska and Zoe Limparis. Newcomers Nicole Iosio, Emma Lindh, and Sophie Marie Lowe are expected to make their debut in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.
The Redbirds will compete against teams from Bradley (MVC), Eastern Illinois (OVC), Marquette (Big East), UW-Milwaukee (Horizon), UIC (MVC), Valparaiso (MVC), and St Thomas (SUMMIT).
Following the Redbird Invitational, Illinois State will travel to Chicago next week for the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships hosted by UIC, scheduled from October 4 to 6.
