A strong performance at the NCAA Division III Preview has earned Illinois Wesleyan University senior golfer Griffin Pohl the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Golfer of the Week honors. The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 2. This marks the third time Pohl has received this recognition in his collegiate career.
Hailing from Western Springs, Illinois, Pohl played a crucial role in leading the Titans to a second-place finish at the event held from September 22-23. He tied for eighth place individually, delivering rounds of 71, 67, and 73. His scores included a one-under-par and a five-under-par at Midvale Country Club on September 22, followed by a one-over-par at Cobblestone Creek Country Club on September 23.
The next challenge for Pohl and his team will be the Wabash Invite in Indianapolis, scheduled for October 7-8. The tournament will take place over two days at Broadmoor Country Club.
