The Illinois State women's golf team is set to participate in the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational on October 7-8, 2024. The event will be held at the Merit Club in Libertyville, Illinois, and is hosted by the University of Loyola Chicago.

This tournament marks a new experience for the Redbirds as it is their first time competing in this event. The team has had strong performances this season with top-three finishes in their initial two tournaments.

The lineup for Illinois State includes Jinyoung Yun starting from hole 5, Morgan Jones and Alex Sparrow from hole 4, Elise Fennell from hole 3, and Jessica Jolly from hole 2. Lory Paradis will compete individually starting from hole 11.

The Merit Club course was designed with careful consideration to enhance the golfing experience. Founder Bert Getz Sr. emphasized a layout that respects the game while offering favorable conditions such as holes oriented away from glare-inducing sunlight and opportunities for approach shots onto greens without forced carries over hazards.

Live scoring for the event will be available through Clippd. Other participating teams include Ball State, Bowling Green, Butler, Cal Baptist, Creighton, Dayton, Loyola, Omaha, St. Thomas, South Dakota, UIC, and Utah Tech.
