The Illinois State women's golf team is set to compete in the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championship, aiming to extend their record of 14 MVC titles. The championship will take place from April 14-16 at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Illinois.

The Redbirds' lineup for the event includes Ali Schrock, Jinyoung Yun, Vinisha Gunaseelan, Avalon Woodward, and Michaela Kverkova. Dani Grace Schrock will serve as an alternate. The team recently participated in the Red Rocks Invitational, finishing eighth among 20 schools. Jinyoung Yun was a standout performer, tying for eighth overall with a school-record-tying opening round of 67.

Illinois State has a storied history in the MVC Championship, having secured more titles than any other school in the conference. Their most recent victory came in 2022 when they finished first out of ten teams.

Annbriar Golf Course has been a popular golfing destination since its opening in 1993. Located just outside St. Louis, it offers challenging and scenic holes for golfers of all levels. The course also features the Smokehouse Restaurant, which hosts various events and gatherings.
