A total of 23 Illinois State University track and field student-athletes have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements by being named to the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team. This announcement was made on Friday, acknowledging their dedication both in the classroom and on the track.
The honorees from Illinois State are part of a group of 46 MVC student-athletes who have maintained at least a 3.80 cumulative grade-point average, with 13 achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. The selection criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete team include maintaining a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, being at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, and placing in the top eight of an individual event or top three in a relay event at the Indoor or Outdoor Championship.
The list of honored Illinois State student-athletes includes Ariel Atias, Hassy Fashina-Bombata, Joe Boyer, Raydoffa Braziel, Macy Byer, Mathis Chavand, Corrina Courser, Charles Cruse, Nick Doud, Claire Fuhlhage, Isabelle Hemmen, Sean Hopkins, Caroline Meyers, Emelia Ness, EJ Nwagwu, Brittney Oakley, Windsor Roberts, Kiley Sanders, Baptiste Tardiveau, Carly Tucker, Devin Turner, Cade Ward and Morgan Wrublik.
