A total of 23 Illinois State University track and field student-athletes have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements by being named to the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team. This announcement was made on Friday, acknowledging their dedication both in the classroom and on the track.
The honorees from Illinois State are part of a group of 46 MVC student-athletes who have maintained at least a 3.80 cumulative grade-point average, with 13 achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. The selection criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete team include maintaining a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, being at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, and placing in the top eight of an individual event or top three in a relay event at the Indoor or Outdoor Championship.
