Illinois State University legend D.A. Weibring has been announced as a member of the 2024 Texas Golf Hall of Fame class. The formal induction ceremony is scheduled for October 21, 2024, at the Houston Country Club. Each inductee will be honored with a granite marker on the Texas Golf Walk of Fame in San Antonio and at The Ronny Golf Park in Frisco.

"D.A. Weibring is a fantastic representative of being RB4L and we are glad to have him as a Redbird," said ISU Interim Director of Athletics Dr. Jeri Beggs. "This honor of him joining the Texas Golf Hall of Fame is extremely well deserved and adds to his long list of accolades."

Weibring, originally from Quincy, Illinois, has lived in Texas for over 45 years. His professional golf career includes 13 Tour victories worldwide and a major title at the 2008 Seniors Players Championship. He has been inducted into several Halls of Fame including ISU Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame, Quincy Notre Dame High School Hall of Fame, Illinois PGA Hall of Fame, and Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame.

"This year's inductees embody the spirit and excellence of Texas golf," stated Executive Director Alli Jarrett. "Their dedication, talent, and contributions have left an indelible mark on the sport."

As Founder of Golf Resources (Weibring/Wolford Design), Weibring has contributed to designing over 100 courses globally since 1987. He remains an active supporter of Illinois State, raising over $1.5 million for its golf teams.
