The Illinois Wesleyan University cross country teams participated in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships on October 29 at St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville, Illinois. Elmhurst University hosted the event.

The women's team finished fourth with 114 points, while the men's team placed seventh with 180 points. Wheaton College secured first place in the women's category with 45 points, and North Central College won the men's race with 15 points.

Sophomore Annalese Chudy from Libertyville, Illinois, was a standout performer for IWU's women's team. She completed her race in 22:32.73, earning second place and All-CCIW First Team honors. "Chudy's mark of 22:32.73 was good for second place," highlighting her achievement as the first IWU athlete to finish in the top two since Rachel Williams' victory in 2012.

Freshman Adriana Crabtree from Normal, Illinois, also performed well by securing a spot on the All-CCIW Second Team with a time of 23:46.20, placing her 13th overall.

For the men's team, sophomore Nick Fisch from Woodridge, Illinois earned All-CCIW Second Team recognition by finishing 17th with a time of 25:57.58.

Both teams are now preparing for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet scheduled for November 12 at Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva, Illinois. Aurora University will host this upcoming event.
