Illinois Wesleyan University's men's basketball team is preparing for an upcoming game against Carroll University on Saturday, January 20. The match will take place at Van Male Fieldhouse in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with a scheduled tip-off at 4:15 p.m. This game follows a recent victory for the Titans over Wheaton College, where they secured a narrow 78-77 win.

The Titans currently hold the top spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) standings with an overall record of 11-6 and a conference record of 7-1. Their opponents, Carroll University, have had mixed results this season and enter the weekend with a record of 10-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play.

Illinois Wesleyan has historically dominated their encounters with Carroll, winning 72 out of their last 90 meetings. The Titans have won their last ten games against the Pioneers, with Carroll's last victory dating back to December 2018.

In their recent win against Wheaton College, Harrison Wilmsen achieved a career-high performance by scoring 21 points. Luke Yoder also made significant contributions by scoring a go-ahead layup in the final seconds of the game.

The Titans' defense has been strong this season, limiting opponents to an average field goal percentage of 38.8%. They have maintained an impressive record when committing fewer than fifteen turnovers per game.

Looking ahead, Illinois Wesleyan will face Wheaton College again on January 24 at the Shirk Center.
