Illinois Wesleyan University's men's lacrosse sophomore Timothy McHugh has earned the title of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. This announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday, April 1.

This recognition is significant as it marks the third instance this season that a player from Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) has been honored with the CCIW player of the week award. McHugh, who was previously acknowledged with this honor earlier in his career, joins Colin Tervo, who received defensive honors on February 25.

In a remarkable performance, McHugh led his team to a 23-18 win against Adrian College on Saturday, March 29. During this game, he scored eight points with an impressive contribution of four goals and four assists, narrowly missing his career highs in these metrics. McHugh also managed a caused turnover along with four ground balls during the contest.

The Illinois Wesleyan Titans will take a break from competition for the upcoming week. They are set to return to action with their CCIW opener against North Central College on Wednesday, April 9.
