With just over a month remaining before their return to competition, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team has been ranked fourth in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll. The poll was released by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Friday, February 16.
Methodist University leads the poll with 375 points and received all 15 first-place votes. Emory University follows in second place with 360 points. Oglethorpe University climbed two spots from its fall ranking to third place with 334 points. Illinois Wesleyan is positioned fourth with 319 points, while Lynchburg College completes the top five with 314 points.
During the fall season, Illinois Wesleyan's team achieved three top-two finishes, including victories at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Preview and the Butts Classic. They were runners-up at the Golfweek October Classic and concluded their fall campaign with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Preview.
Illinois Wesleyan golfers Jackson Hulsey, Raj Sethi, Bobby Beaubien, and Quinn Clifford received CCIW Golfer of the Week honors for their performances.
The Titans will officially begin their spring season from March 22-24 at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate held at The King and Prince Golf Club in Saint Simons Island, Georgia.
