Five members of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team have been named to the Golf Coaches Association of America PING All-Region 5 Team. The selections include sophomores Juney Bai and Michael Spitzer, juniors Quinn Clifford and Griffin Pohl, and fifth-year Bobby Beaubien. This announcement was made on Thursday afternoon, May 16.

Bai, Clifford, Pohl, and Beaubien received all-region honors for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, Spitzer earned this recognition for the first time in his career.

Juney Bai participated in 11 tournaments with a stroke average of 73.5 over 28 rounds. He achieved three top-10 finishes this year, including a runner-up position at the Take Back the Night Challenge from April 19-20. Additionally, Bai was named CCIW Golfer of the Week once during the season.

Michael Spitzer's All-Region honor follows his runner-up finish at the CCIW Championships and an eighth-place tie at the NCAA Championship. He played in 22 rounds with a stroke average of 73.5 and recorded four top-10 finishes throughout the year.

Quinn Clifford competed in 11 tournaments with a stroke average of 73.2 over 28 rounds. He achieved five top-10 finishes and was named CCIW Golfer of the Week twice during this season.

Griffin Pohl also earned All-Region honors for a second consecutive season after participating in 11 tournaments with a stroke average of 73.0 over 28 rounds. He finished third at both the CCIW Championship tournament and NCAA Championship.

Bobby Beaubien concluded his fifth-year season as a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin medalist at league championships while being named conference's Golfer of the Year. Competing in all ten tournaments par-or-better, he posted an impressive stroke average of just under par (72). His standout performance included shooting five-under (67) during September’s single-round CCIW Preview event which earned him weekly golfer accolades from CCIW officials.

Illinois Wesleyan wrapped up their successful campaign by finishing eighth overall nationally within Division III ranks held between May14th through17th during championship play-offs organized under auspices sanctioned via NCAA oversight committees governing collegiate athletics nationwide annually since inception decades ago now...
