The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to face Wheaton College in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) match on Saturday, September 28, at Joe Bean Stadium in Wheaton, Illinois. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The Titans approach their third CCIW game with a record of 1-8-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the conference. Meanwhile, the Thunder will play their first CCIW opponent of the season, holding an overall record of 1-5-3. Both teams are coming off midweek defeats; Illinois Wesleyan lost to Millikin University 2-0 in Decatur, Illinois, while Wheaton was defeated by UW-Whitewater 3-2 at home.

Freshman Ava Mapes from Golden, Colorado leads the Titans with two goals this season, both scored during the September 6 game against Knox. Juniors Tegan Timerman and Amanda Yaeger along with freshman Sophie Lampert have each contributed one goal for the team. On Wheaton's side, Katherine Ashley and Audrey Sexson are leading scorers with three goals each.

The historical series between Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton dates back to 1994. The Titans trail with a series record of 31 wins for Wheaton against six wins and five draws for Illinois Wesleyan. In their last encounter, Illinois Wesleyan secured a decisive victory over the Thunder with a scoreline of 5-0. Current assistant coach Caelyn Bieterman (formerly Steffens) scored three goals in that match. Sophomore Sawyer White also provided an assist during that game.

Following the women's match on Saturday evening at Joe Bean Stadium, there will be a men's game featuring Illinois Wesleyan starting at 7 p.m. Fans can watch the women's match via live stream or follow live stats online.
