The Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team is set to embark on a spring break trip to Oregon, where they will compete in three games over five days. The Titans, currently holding a 1-2 record, begin their journey against Lewis & Clark College on Sunday, March 10, at 1 p.m. PT. They will then face Linfield University on Tuesday, March 12, at 6 p.m. PT and conclude their trip with a neutral site game against the University of Puget Sound on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. PT.

The team heads west following a recent loss to DePauw University on Wednesday, March 6. Senior Britney Maldonado from Hoffman Estates led the Titans with three goals and an assist during that match. Junior Grace Spader achieved a career-best with five ground balls, while junior Bri Kiser made a career-high of 15 saves in goal.

Throughout the first three games of the season, Maldonado has emerged as the team's leader with 20 points and 11 assists. She shares the top spot for goals scored with sophomore Carleigh Fountain; both have nine goals each. Junior Mia Fiandaca and sophomore Devon Hanson are tied for third place on the team with eight points each.

On defense, Fiandaca leads with 12 caused turnovers followed by Hanson with ten. Sophomore Sarah Riepe ranks third in this category with six turnovers. Kiser leads in ground balls collected for Illinois Wesleyan with a total of thirteen.

Kiser has been pivotal in goal for the Titans throughout all matches so far this season, having logged all available minutes and made thirty-five saves resulting in a .422 save percentage.

This upcoming trip marks Illinois Wesleyan's first encounters against Lewis & Clark (0-5), Linfield (1-0), and Puget Sound (2-0). Lewis & Clark is experiencing its inaugural year of women's lacrosse and recently faced defeat against Whitman College. Linfield started its season strong with a win over Eastern Oregon University and will play additional matches before hosting Illinois Wesleyan. Puget Sound's latest victory was over Pacific University; they too have scheduled matches ahead of facing off against Illinois Wesleyan.
