Illinois Wesleyan swim and dive earns CSCAA Team Scholar All-America honors

The Illinois Wesleyan University Swim and Dive team has been recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as part of the Team Scholar All-America lists. This recognition was announced on June 25, 2024.

The CSCAA included 722 teams from 417 institutions ranging from Division I to NAIA in their Scholar All-America Teams for the spring 2024 semester. To be eligible for this honor, teams needed to achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 during the spring semester.

For the women's team, Illinois Wesleyan was among 158 Division III teams to make the list, achieving a team GPA of 3.45 with its roster of 17 women. Other College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams that were recognized include Augustana with a GPA of 3.55, Carthage at 3.44, Carroll at 3.45, Millikin at 3.53, and North Central at 3.16.

On the men's side, Illinois Wesleyan was one of 138 Division III teams honored for their academic performance. The men's team achieved an impressive GPA of 3.74 with its group of 12 men, marking it as having the highest GPA among CCIW teams on the list. Other CCIW schools that made the list are Augustana with a GPA of 3.34, Carthage at 3.51, Carroll at 3.02, North Central at 3.06, and Wheaton at 3.49.

Of all the teams recognized in Division III men's swimming and diving programs nationwide, only four institutions recorded a higher GPA than Illinois Wesleyan.
