The Illinois State Men's Tennis team secured three victories on the first day of the ITA Midwest Regionals at Michigan State University. Players Adrian Dibildox and Tom Bevan contributed to the team's success in East Lansing, Michigan.

On the second day, Tomas Valencia is set to compete against UIC's Mikovic in the main draw. The Redbirds will also have three doubles pairs participating: Caeden Scarlett with Valencia, Jett Leong with Bevan, and Tin Ostro with Dibildox.

Bevan started the Regionals by defeating NIU's Gustavo in straight sets with scores of 6-0, 6-4. Dibildox completed the first day's matches by winning against NIU's Federico with a score of 7-5, 6-0. He then defeated Notre Dame's Brian Bilsey in the round of 32 and will face WMU's Adesoro on the second day. The Redbirds are scheduled to resume play at 9 am.

Reflecting on past performances against Big Ten teams, ISU competed last season against Michigan Wolverines and Indiana Hoosiers, ranked No. 43 nationally. Nam Pham '24 had a close match against Ohio State's Bryce Nakashima at the previous year's ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by the University of Michigan.
