The Redbirds secured a victory on the second day of the ITA Regionals in Columbus, Ohio. Silvia Pomarolli triumphed over Marquette University's Andie Weise with scores of 6-3, 6-4.

Following her win, Pomarolli was set to compete against Tianna Rangan from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Main Draw at No. 1 singles. Meanwhile, Lana Caculovic engaged in a close three-set match against Megan Heuser from the University of Illinois but was defeated with scores of 6-3, 6-3, 6-2. In doubles action, Pomarolli and Caculovic progressed to the round of 32 after receiving a bye in the round of 64.

Singles results showed Pomarolli (ISU) defeating Weise (MU) with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Conversely, Heuser (Illinois) overcame Caculovic (ISU) with scores of 6-3, 6-3, and 6-2.

In doubles play, Pomarolli and Caculovic advanced without contest due to a bye.

The competition will continue tomorrow at the Auer Tennis Complex on Ohio State University's campus starting at 8:30 AM.
