Illinois State University's volleyball team achieved a significant victory over the Evansville Purple Aces, marking their fifth consecutive win. The Redbirds secured a straight-set sweep at CEFCU Arena, improving their Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) record to 5-1 and tying with Bradley for second place in the standings.
During the first set, Illinois State established dominance with a decisive 6-0 run, ultimately winning 25-13. The second set was more competitive, but a late surge gave the Redbirds a narrow 25-23 victory. In the final set, Illinois State maintained control to close out the match with a 25-18 win.
