The Illinois State University Cross Country team participated in the 2024 Bradley Pink Classic held in Peoria, Illinois. The men's team finished in 27th place with a total of 774 points. The women's team did not secure a team score as only three athletes competed.
Sophomore Trixie Johnson was the top performer for the Illinois State women's team, finishing 58th with a time of 23:48.0. Freshman Amanda Pocica achieved a personal best time of 23:57.34, securing the 63rd position.
For the men's team, Sophomore Noah Penry led with a time of 25:29.33 in his first race of the season. Freshmen Josh Weeks and Luke Barham both recorded personal bests with times of 25:37.03 and 25:41.82, respectively.
The detailed results for the women's 6K race were as follows: Trixie Johnson at 23:48.07, Amanda Pocica at 23:57.34, and Ashlyn Smith at 24:19.00.
In the men's 8K race, Noah Penry finished at 25:29.33, followed by Josh Weeks at 25:37.03 (personal record), Luke Barham at 25:41.62 (personal record), Charlie Kistner at 26:30.15, Nathan Virginelli at 26:42.64, Will Gelon at 27:17.20, Garrett Slack at 27:44.88, and Carter Smott at 28:16.89.
