Illinois State women’s tennis earns four wins at EIU Panther Invitational

The Illinois State Women's Tennis team secured two singles victories and two doubles wins on the second day of the EIU Panther Invitational in Charleston, Illinois.

In singles matches, freshman Emma Lindh triumphed over Oona Kinstcher from Purdue Northwest with a 6-3, 6-2 scoreline. Nicole Iosio achieved her second win of the weekend by defeating Chavana Sreenath from Eastern Illinois University decisively at 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles competition, Zoe Limparis and Elena Jankulovska clinched their second doubles victory of the weekend with a narrow 7-6 win against Kinstcher and Sreenath of PNW. Meanwhile, Nicole Iosio and Emma Lindh also emerged victorious in their match against Hayley Tsuen and Alma Vasquez from PNW, winning by a close margin of 7-6.

The tournament will continue on Sunday for its third day at Darling Courts on Eastern Illinois University's campus.

Upcoming events include the Redbirds' return home on November 2nd to participate in the two-day Redbird Duals at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington.
