The Illinois State University Cross Country team concluded its participation in the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Mattison Plummer led the Redbirds by finishing 51st with a time of 21:34.0. Astrid Van Breedam was the second-highest finisher for Illinois State, recording a time of 22:00.2.
On the men's side, Senior Will Sinclair set the pace for the Redbirds with a time of 24:19.9, securing a tenth-place finish. Sinclair has consistently placed in the top 15 throughout this season's races. Senior Zack Loomis also continued his strong performance with another top-15 finish, clocking in at 24:21.5.
In the women's 6K results, Illinois State placed 18th with 477 points. Key performances included Mattison Plummer's time of 21:34.0 and Astrid Van Breedam's mark of 22:00.2.
The men's team excelled in their category, securing first place with 29 points. Notable finishes included William Sinclair's time of 24:19.9 and Zack Loomis' result of 24:21.5.
