Illinois State University's women's golf team tied a school record at the Clash at Boulder Creek in Nevada, achieving a seven-under 281 round. The team's overall score of 864 across three rounds is the third-lowest in the program's history.
Freshman Jessica Jolly led Illinois State with a six-under 210, marking the lowest tournament score by a freshman in school history and tying for the fourth-lowest overall. Fellow freshman Elise Fennell also performed strongly, finishing with a three-round total of 212, which ranks as the second-lowest by a freshman and eighth-lowest overall in school history. Fennell has recorded seven rounds at or under par this season, setting a new freshman record.
San Francisco claimed victory in the tournament with an aggregate score of 823, finishing 41 strokes under par. This result ties for the ninth-lowest tournament aggregate score in NCAA history. Other teams finishing ahead of Illinois State included Northern Arizona (837), Fresno State (842), and Boise State (846).
Jessica Jolly secured her second career top-10 finish by tying for ninth place after consistent rounds of 70 each day. Her performance included an eagle and multiple birdies that helped maintain her position among the leaders.
Elise Fennell had notable rounds of 69, 72, and 71 to secure her spot tied for 17th place. Her final round was marked by four birdies that offset an early triple bogey.
Lory Paradis ended tied for 35th after scoring two-under-par on her final round. She managed to stay below par despite two bogeys mid-round.
Jinyoung Yun finished tied for 41st with a two-under-par final round. Her performance included an eagle and several birdies throughout her round.
Morgan Jones completed her tournament with an even-par final round, placing her tied for 48th overall. Despite some challenges during her round, she maintained composure to finish strong.
Alex Sparrow achieved her best finish with a two-under-par final round, placing her tied for 74th overall among freshmen scores in program history.
