The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team triumphed over North Central College with a score of 16-10 in a game held on April 10 at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. This victory advances the Titans to an 8-3 record for the season and maintains their undefeated start in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play, handing North Central its first conference loss.

The Titans have now won all seven matches against North Central. The team's performance was led by seniors Gage Black and Trystan Seeley, junior Sam Weinberg, and freshman Timothy McHugh, each contributing four points. Weinberg achieved career highs in both points and goals, while sophomore Noah Dretzka matched his career-high with three points. McHugh led the team with four assists, while senior Zo Lombardo excelled at faceoffs, securing seven ground balls and scoring once. Junior Colin Tervo played the entire match as goalkeeper, making 21 saves.

The game began with IWU taking an early lead before North Central closed the first quarter ahead by one goal. In the second quarter, Black scored to equalize, followed by two goals from Weinberg that gave IWU a lead they would not relinquish. By halftime, IWU led 6-4.

After halftime, both teams exchanged goals but IWU maintained their advantage through contributions from several players including Black and Eastburn. In the final quarter, Lombardo's effort extended IWU's lead further as they outscored NCC to secure a comfortable win.

Illinois Wesleyan will continue their CCIW schedule on April 13 when they visit Carthage College in Kenosha.
