The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to face Augustana College in their first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game this weekend. The match, part of IWU's annual St. Jude's Weekend, will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. in Tucci Stadium.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the game with a 6-3 record and a four-game winning streak after defeating the University of Dubuque 16-11 on Wednesday night. Senior Gage Black led the team with six points from four goals and two assists. Senior Ike Eastburn added four goals and one assist, while sophomore Noah Dretzka contributed two goals and three assists.

On defense, senior Michael Campagna collected seven ground balls and caused five turnovers. Senior Zo Lombardo won 15 out of 27 faceoffs, and junior goalkeeper Colin Tervo made nine saves for his sixth win.

Gage Black leads the Titans with 41 points this season, including 26 goals. Freshman Timothy McHugh tops the team in assists with 16. Lombardo has achieved a .618 faceoff win percentage with a total of 42 ground balls, leading the team in that category as well.

The upcoming game against Augustana marks both teams' conference opener. Augustana holds a 3-5 overall record as they head into Tucci Stadium. Historically, IWU has dominated the series with a 10-2 advantage over Augustana, winning their last ten encounters.
