The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team continues its success in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) awards. Sophomore Noah Dretzka has been named the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week, marking the fourth consecutive week a player from the team has received this honor. The announcement was made by the conference office on Tuesday, April 16.
Dretzka follows teammates Michael Campagna, Trystan Seeley, and Colin Tervo in receiving weekly accolades this season. His performance during the week included accumulating 10 points, contributing significantly to two CCIW victories against North Central College and Carthage College.
In the game against North Central College on Wednesday, April 10, Dretzka recorded three points with two goals and an assist, leading to a 16-10 win for the Titans. He then achieved a career-high performance against Carthage College on Saturday, April 13. In that match, he led his team with seven points and five goals while providing two assists in an 18-13 victory over the Firebirds.
Currently, Dretzka is third on his team for assists with a total of 16. He ranks fifth in both overall points (30) and goals (14).
The Titans are preparing to host Elmhurst University on Saturday, April 20 for their Senior Day event at Tucci Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
