The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is preparing for a match against Sewanee: The University of the South. This game is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, at Legacy Fields on Spalding University's campus in Louisville, Kentucky. The Titans are looking to recover from their season opener loss to Hope College, where they were defeated 15-8.
In the previous game against Hope College, senior Ike Eastburn contributed two goals. Junior John Kittoe and senior Gage Black each scored one goal and provided an assist. Junior Colin Tervo was active in the net with 12 saves during the match. Junior Nick Schroeder managed to win 13 out of 21 faceoffs and collected eight ground balls.
Illinois Wesleyan and Sewanee have only faced each other once before, back in March 2018. In that encounter, the Titans took an early lead by scoring the first 15 goals and eventually won with a score of 22-13.
