The Illinois Wesleyan University swimming and diving teams have been recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Scholar All-America Teams. The men's team achieved a 3.74 GPA for the fall semester, while the women's team earned a 3.43 GPA.
Within the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), Illinois Wesleyan was one of three institutions to receive this honor for both its men's and women's teams, alongside Augustana and Carroll. On the men's side, Wheaton and Carthage were also noted, while Millikin and North Central made the list for their women's teams. Notably, IWU's men had the highest GPA among all CCIW teams on the list, with the women ranking third in their conference.
Illinois Wesleyan was part of 783 teams from 461 institutions that received this award. The CSCAA recognizes programs that achieve a minimum team GPA of 3.0 for the fall semester.
This marks the seventh time since the 2011-12 season that both IWU's men’s and women’s teams have been selected as Scholar All-American teams in the fall semester. Additionally, it is the eighth time for the women’s team and seventh for the men’s team to be included on this list.
The Titans are scheduled to compete next at the CCIW Swim & Dive Championship in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, from February 21st to 25th.
