Five student-athletes from Illinois Wesleyan University's men's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The announcement was made on November 21, recognizing seniors Brody Seaton and CJ Rodriguez, as well as sophomores Jerry Smazil, Sam Kedzior, and Kalabi Kamau for their achievements.

These athletes played a significant role in leading the Titans to their first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The team's season concluded with a record of 6-7-5 overall and 3-3-2 in conference play.

Brody Seaton, a finance major and team captain, contributed significantly by scoring crucial goals during the conference championship. His performance earned him a Second Team All-CCIW honor. CJ Rodriguez, a business major, led the team with five assists and scored important goals during the tournament.

Jerry Smazil assisted in securing a win against Wheaton College in the semifinals of the conference tournament. Sam Kedzior, who majors in secondary education, was pivotal in penalty shootouts that led to the team's NCAA appearance. He recorded 84 saves throughout the season and received Second Team All-CCIW honors.

Kalabi Kamau has been recognized for his defensive contributions since joining IWU. The CSC Academic All-District Teams honor student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Eligibility requires a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participation in at least 90% or starting in at least 66% of matches.
