After a busy weekend of competitions, the Illinois Wesleyan University swim and dive team is preparing for their final home meet of the season. The Titans will face Franklin College on Saturday, January 27, with events starting at 1 p.m. A special ceremony to honor senior team members will take place ten minutes before the competition begins.

The Titans are coming off two tri meets from the previous weekend. On Friday, January 19, IWU hosted Illinois College and Millikin University, where ten Titans achieved multiple individual victories. The following day in the IWU-IIT-Carthage Triangular on January 20, they secured four more individual wins.

Franklin College has proven to be a strong rival since their first meeting in 2016. In their most recent encounter on January 28, 2023, Franklin outperformed both the men's and women's teams with scores of 198-84 and 161-131 respectively.

During this meet, Illinois Wesleyan University will recognize eleven seniors for their contributions to the team. On the women's side: Hannah Murray (West Chicago), Lauren Feddersen (Champaign), Sami Curtis (Pekin), Natalie Wajda (Park Ridge), Jackie Rae Kelch (Peoria), Sydney Dunlap (Wheaton), and Bella Calcagno (Lemont) will be honored. For the men: Ethan Lowder (Bloomington), Henry Moore (Champaign), Lane Wagner (Danville), and Donald Tichy (Chicago) will receive recognition.

Live streaming of the meet can be accessed online, with results available on iwusports.com after completion.
