Illinois Wesleyan swim team prepares for matches against Wabash and Rose-Hulman

The Illinois Wesleyan University men's swimming and diving team is set to begin the new year with a competition against Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The event is scheduled for January 12, with the first race starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. Following this, both the men's and women's teams will face Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on January 13, beginning at 1 p.m. CST.

The Titans last competed in early December at the Carthage Classic, where they secured fifth place in both categories. Historically, the men's team has faced Wabash College 12 times since 2011 but has yet to secure a victory against them. Their most recent encounter was on January 13, 2023, when Wabash defeated them with a score of 142-78.

On Saturday, the Titans will host Rose-Hulman. The women's teams have met 12 times and the men's teams have faced off 11 times since their first meeting in 2008. In their last matchup, the IWU women triumphed over Rose-Hulman with a score of 175-107 while the men were defeated by RHIT with a score of 210.5-65.5.

Results from both competitions will be posted on iwusports.com after each event concludes.
