The Illinois Wesleyan men's swim and dive team faced off against Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on January 12, 2024. The event was moved an hour earlier than planned due to adverse weather conditions. Despite their efforts, the Titans were defeated by Wabash with a score of 157-75.

Illinois Wesleyan managed to secure two individual victories during the competition. Junior Alex Kula from Pekin, Illinois, won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.59 seconds. Another junior, Carter Dilger from Sellersburg, Indiana, triumphed in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.63 seconds.

Senior Lane Wagner from Danville, Illinois made notable contributions by placing second in both the 400-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke with times of 4:21.99 and 58.30 seconds respectively. Freshman Jack Hansen from Naperville, Illinois also performed well by finishing second in the 1000-yard freestyle and third in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In addition to their individual performances, Kula and Wagner teamed up with sophomore Sam Fogarty and freshman Rylan Nelson for a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.75.

The Titans are scheduled to host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on January 13 at Fort Natatorium alongside the IWU women's team. The event will be streamed on Facebook and results will be available on iwusports.com after its conclusion.
