BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team is set to face Webster University on Friday, February 23. The match will take place at the Evergreen Racquet Club, starting at 7 p.m.

The Titans, with a current record of 3-1, recently secured a narrow victory against Principia College on February 17. This marked their first win over the Panthers since the series began in 2012. Key performances included sophomore Ian Turnbull's win in the No. 1 singles slot and freshman Thad Dillow's comeback victory at No. 4 singles.

Ian Turnbull was recognized as Co-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Player of the Week for his achievements in recent matches. He shared this honor with North Central College's Ramon Vilarroig.

In their history against Webster University, Illinois Wesleyan holds a 5-1 advantage since their first meeting in 2011. Their last encounter resulted in a 7-2 victory for IWU on February 19, 2023.

Webster University's team enters this match with an overall record of 2-3 for the season and will be competing for the first time in 2024.

Following Friday's match, IWU will play an exhibition game against Illinois State University on Saturday, February 24, also at Evergreen Racquet Club.
