The Illinois Wesleyan University men's tennis team faced a setback against Carroll University in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin competition on Friday, April 19. The match concluded with IWU losing 7-2 to CU.
Illinois Wesleyan secured victories in the No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles matches, thanks to junior Zeke Cross from Springfield, Illinois, and sophomore Ben Vigneri from Casper, Wyoming. In doubles play, Cross and Vigneri achieved an 8-4 win at No. 2. Cross continued his strong performance into the singles match, winning with set scores of 6-3, 6-3.
IWU will stay in Wisconsin for their next match against Carthage College at noon on April 20. This CCIW encounter is set to take place at Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
