The Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country team has seen two of its athletes named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Midwest Region list. This recognition comes after strong performances at the Midwest Regional competition.
Sophomore Lexi Crabtree and junior Katie Chudy earned their places on the list following top-35 finishes at the event held on Saturday, November 11. The announcement was made by the organization on Monday, November 13.
Both athletes have already been recognized with All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin First Team honors this season. Crabtree received her first regional award, while Chudy achieved this honor for the second consecutive year.
Crabtree finished in 21st place with a time of 22:12.8, and Chudy followed closely in 25th place with a time of 22:19.3, securing their positions among the region's best.
Looking ahead, Crabtree and Chudy are set to compete again on Saturday, November 18, at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania. Dickinson College will host the event where the women's race is scheduled to start at noon Eastern Standard Time.
