After a brief hiatus, the Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) bowling team participated in the Storm Hawk Classic held in Quincy, Illinois, on February 26. The event, hosted by Quincy University, included seven institutions from the central region. The Titans concluded their performance with a seventh-place finish after nine matches.

During the competition against Quincy, IWU achieved a new program-best score of 773 in game three of the five-person team match. On the first day, using the baker system and total pinfall format, IWU faced off against Quincy, Upper Iowa University, North Central College, and Kentucky Wesleyan University. Despite losing all four matches, they recorded their highest pinfall of 701 against Upper Iowa and ended the day with a total pinfall of 3,394.

The second day featured traditional five-person games where IWU competed against Augustana College, Aurora University, Quincy, and Upper Iowa. Senior Shea Atkins from Chicago tallied an impressive pinfall of 822 across five games with scores of 167, 167, 178, 147, and 163.

On the final day of play against North Central College in a baker match format, IWU was defeated with a total pinfall score of 865-711. Additionally, senior Alivia Catey from Broadwell set a personal best with a pinfall score of 191 during game one of the five-person team format.

Looking ahead to their next challenge, the Titans will travel to Addison for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament II on March 4-5. This tournament is hosted by Elmhurst University at Stardust Lanes.
