Senior diver Eva Reyes has been honored as the Diver of the Week by the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), following her impressive performance during a recent competition hosted by Illinois State against Ohio University.

Reyes achieved a season-best score of 290.25 on the 1-meter board, securing first place, and also claimed victory in the 3-meter event with a score of 280.05. Her achievements continue to build on her already distinguished career at Illinois State.

Throughout her tenure, Reyes has been recognized multiple times for her diving prowess. She earned MVC Diver of the Year honors in both her freshman and sophomore years. Last season, she became only the second diver in Illinois State's history and third in conference history to win three consecutive 1-meter titles.

In the current 2023-24 season, Reyes was previously named MVC Diver of the Week twice due to outstanding performances against Eastern Illinois on October 6 and Ohio on October 14, where she dominated both events.

Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, Reyes was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team for 2024 and was selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-American Team member during her sophomore year in 2023.
