There were 207 multiracial students enrolled in Livingston County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 5.1% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that multiracial students made up 3.6% of the 5,744 students in the county. They were the third most represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the 12 districts in Livingston County, Pontiac Community Consolidated School District 429 recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 66 students.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the story are located in cities associated with Livingston County.

K-12 enrollment has been declining in Illinois for many years, reflecting demographic changes.
