As the 2024 Redbird football team takes a bye week, Illinois State University has announced its full schedule for the 2025 season. The season will commence on August 30 with a game against Oklahoma.
Following their opener, the Redbirds will host Morehead State on September 6. They will then continue their rivalry with Eastern Illinois in Charleston on September 13. After another bye week on September 20, Illinois State University (ISU) will play North Alabama at Hancock Stadium during Family Weekend on September 27.
The Missouri Valley Football Conference games start when North Dakota State visits Hancock Stadium again on October 4. This is followed by an away game against Murray State in Kentucky on October 11 and a Homecoming match against Youngstown State at Hancock Stadium on October 18. The Redbirds will end October with an away game at South Dakota on October 25 and begin November by hosting UNI at home on November 1.
On November 8, ISU faces Indiana State away before traveling to Brookings, South Dakota, to compete against South Dakota State on November 15. The regular season concludes with a home game against Southern Illinois at Hancock Stadium for Senior Day on November 22.
