Illinois Wesleyan women’s soccer faces Millikin in final home match

The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team is set to face Millikin University in their final home game of the season. The match will take place on Wednesday, October 30, at 7 p.m. under the lights at Neis Field. This event marks the team's last regular season game within the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Illinois Wesleyan, known as the Green and White, currently holds a record of 3-11-2 overall and 1-5-1 in conference play. Their latest outing resulted in a 2-0 defeat against Carroll University. Freshman Grace Kiewiet from Leawood, Kansas (Notre Dame de Sion), made ten saves during that match, helping limit Carroll's undefeated team to just two goals.

Kiewiet leads the CCIW with an average of 6.31 saves per game and ranks fourth with a .774 save percentage. The team itself ranks second in the conference for total saves this year with 103 and averages 6.44 saves per game.

Millikin University enters this matchup with a record of 12-3-1 overall and 4-3 in conference play. They recently defeated Augustana by four goals before losing narrowly to Carroll by one goal on Monday night.

In their historical encounters dating back to 1996, Illinois Wesleyan has dominated Millikin with a series record of 27 wins to two losses. However, Millikin won their most recent meeting last season with a scoreline of 2-0 on September 27, 2023.
