The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team faced Millikin University in their final regular season match on October 30, 2024. The game concluded with a narrow victory for Millikin, who scored a last-minute goal to win 3-2. This result improved Millikin's overall record to 10-5-1 and their conference record to 4-3-1. Meanwhile, the Titans' overall record fell to 9-4-3, finishing league play at 3-4-1. Consequently, Illinois Wesleyan will enter the CCIW Tournament as the sixth seed.

In the early stages of the match, junior goalkeeper Sam Kedzior played a crucial role in keeping the score level by thwarting an opportunity from Millikin. Senior Logan Shumaker assisted sophomore Joey Rodino in creating a chance that led to freshman Elsworth McIntosh scoring for Illinois Wesleyan in the eighth minute.

Millikin equalized shortly after halftime. However, freshman Ben Lyons restored Illinois Wesleyan's lead in the 54th minute. Just four minutes later, Millikin responded again to tie the game at 2-2.

As time dwindled towards a draw, Millikin seized a breakaway opportunity and scored with only 37 seconds remaining, securing their victory.

Illinois Wesleyan will now focus on their upcoming CCIW Tournament quarterfinals against Carroll University. The Titans are set to face off against the Pioneers in Waukesha, Wisconsin at 4 p.m.
