The Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team has climbed to third place in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America Bushnell Top-25 rankings, released on November 1. The team advanced one position from their previous ranking.
Washington & Lee University ascended from sixth to first place after securing a victory at the Golfweek event in mid-October. The Generals received ten first-place votes and accumulated 274 points. Methodist University, which garnered the remaining first-place vote, secured second place with 262 points. Illinois Wesleyan followed with 237 points, while Emory University and Sewanee were ranked fourth and fifth with 232 and 231 points, respectively.
During the fall season, Illinois Wesleyan achieved two team titles by winning both the Hawk 36 and the Wabash Invite. They also placed fourth at the Folds of Honor tournament and finished as runners-up at the NCAA Division III Preview. Their performance concluded with a seventh-place finish at Golfweek.
Illinois Wesleyan is set to resume competition in the spring, with a detailed schedule expected to be announced soon.
