Illinois State University has announced the addition of seven new recruits to its soccer team for the fall 2025 season. The recruits hail from various parts of the United States and Canada, showcasing a diverse mix of talent.

Head coach Raleigh DeRose expressed optimism about the incoming players on National Signing Day. "Sophia is a strong center forward that can confidently fend off defenders and hold the ball up for her team," DeRose said, highlighting Sophia Carbone from Danville, California.

Delia Garcia from Park Ridge, Illinois, will bring her defensive skills to the team. "She is a fearless defender who takes pride in her defensive battles from the outside back position," noted DeRose.

Brooklyn Harding from Rochester Hills, Michigan, joins as a goalkeeper. DeRose praised her abilities: "Brooklyn is quick to make saves, has good reflexes, and is committed to competing each day."

Rylann Law from Chatham, Illinois, known for her scoring prowess, was described by DeRose as "a highly touted and ranked local product."

Sofia Mammoliti from Hamilton, Ontario adds international experience. DeRose stated that "Sofia makes critical tackles to break up plays and keep her team in the game."

Ashley Molinari from Downers Grove, Illinois brings versatility as a defender. According to DeRose, "Ashley is strong in the air and is a fierce defender that takes pride in defending with all she has."

Lastly, Grace Petrie from Stratford, Connecticut rounds out the group with strong defensive skills. "Grace covers ground on both sides of the ball and has an incredible engine to her game," said DeRose.

These additions are expected to strengthen both offensive and defensive lines for Illinois State's soccer program.
