The Illinois Wesleyan University women's volleyball team is preparing to face the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the NCAA Regional Championship. The match is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, at 7 p.m. at Ban Johnson Arena in Marietta, Ohio.

Illinois Wesleyan secured their place in the tournament by winning the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's automatic bid. They defeated Millikin University on November 16 after a five-set match. In the NCAA Tournament, they overcame Franklin and Marshall College in straight sets on November 21 and then defeated Marietta College on November 22.

UW-Oshkosh entered the tournament with an at-large bid after losing to UW-Whitewater on November 16. They defeated Marymount University and then advanced past the University of Chicago to reach this final regional match.

Illinois Wesleyan's team has shown strong performance metrics, with advantages over opponents in kills, assists, and aces during recent matches. "Sophomore Sophia Feeney and senior Abby Erdman split setting duties against Marietta," recording significant assists and digs. Three players recorded double-digit digs against Marietta, led by junior Kannyn Boyd.

In previous encounters since 1994, UW-Oshkosh leads with an 18-4 series history over Illinois Wesleyan. Their last meeting was a defeat for Illinois Wesleyan at the WashU Tournament in October 2023.

Three schools from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference remain in contention within this NCAA Tournament bracket: UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater, and UW-Platteville.

Taylor French from Illinois Wesleyan has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association First Team All-Region for three consecutive years. The Titans have had a successful season under head coach Kim Nelson-Brown's leadership with notable performances across various statistical categories.

Looking ahead, if Illinois Wesleyan wins this upcoming match against UW-Oshkosh, they will advance to the Final Eight of the NCAA Tournament for their first time ever.
