Illinois State University's women's basketball team has announced the signing of four new players on National Signing Day. Head coach Kristen Gillespie expressed enthusiasm for the incoming class, which includes Madison Austin from Sterling, Illinois; Jordan Fenske from Waukesha, Wisconsin; Kaya Hurt from Indianapolis, Indiana; and Jaeden Pratt from Ankeny, Iowa.

"We are absolutely thrilled with our 2025 recruiting class," Gillespie stated. "This versatile group will provide depth on the perimeter and in the post. They are outstanding student-athletes who will elevate our program on and off the court."

Madison Austin is a 6-3 forward who averaged 12 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game at Sterling High School last season. She has also excelled in swimming as a four-time Sectional champion and record holder at her school.

"Madison is a back-to-the-basket post that has the skill set to step out on the perimeter," said Gillespie. "The unique thing about Madison is she just started playing basketball three years ago. Her potential is unmatched."

Jordan Fenske joins from Waukesha West High School as a 5-11 guard known for her scoring ability, averaging 18.9 points per game with 73 three-pointers last season.

"Jordan is a versatile, skilled guard who can play multiple positions," commented Gillespie. "She has an incredible feel for the game and her basketball IQ is outstanding."

Kaya Hurt comes from Lawrence North in Indianapolis as a 5-8 guard with averages of 11.3 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.3 steals per game during her junior year.

"Kya is a scoring combo guard with tremendous court vision," said Gillespie. "Her ability to create shots for herself and others will be invaluable for our program."

Jaeden Pratt arrives from Ankeny Centennial High School as a multi-sport athlete who holds records in both basketball and volleyball.

"Jaeden is a high-level athlete who will bring an incredible amount of toughness to our program," noted Gillespie. "She is an intense competitor who can score in a variety of ways and impact the game on both ends."
