Illinois State adds seven recruits to its 2025 softball signing class

The Illinois State Softball program has announced the addition of seven new athletes to its 2025 signing class. The announcement was made by third-year head coach Tina Kramos, who expressed enthusiasm for the new recruits. "We are excited for the addition of these seven new student-athletes to our Redbird Family. This class will bring enthusiasm, as well as power on both sides of the ball. We are confident that their talent and personalities will mesh with our current roster and continue the legacy of Redbird Softball," said Kramos.

The new recruits include Lexi Brinkman from Mapleton, Illinois; Paige Rummans from Des Moines, Iowa; Lauren Flowers from Carrollton, Illinois; Taylor Liebelt from Wausau, Wisconsin; Meghan Lampos from Genoa City, Wisconsin; Morgan Calhoun from Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; and Ava Boyer from Tuscola, Illinois.

Lexi Brinkman is a catcher who played at Illini Bluffs High School and has been recognized with multiple honors including Second-Team All State and First-Team All Conference. She also played for travel teams Peoria Sluggers and IL 16U Premier Fastpitch.

Paige Rummans joins as an outfielder from Saydel High School in Iowa. Her achievements include leading her team to top finishes at national championships and holding records in basketball.

Lauren Flowers is a utility player known for her multi-sport prowess at Carrollton High School where she excelled in softball, volleyball, and basketball. She holds numerous school records across these sports.

Taylor Liebelt comes in as an outfielder with experience as a dual-sport athlete at Wausau West High School. Her accomplishments include being named All-Conference Honorable Mention and achieving high academic honors.

Meghan Lampos is a pitcher from Westosha Central High School who has set strikeout records and led her team to conference championships. She played for travel teams Lakeland Lazers and WI 16U VA Glory.

Morgan Calhoun will play infield after competing in both softball and golf at Indian Trail High School. As valedictorian of her class, she has received several athletic awards alongside academic excellence.

Ava Boyer rounds out the group as an infielder known for her leadership roles in softball and basketball at Tuscola High School. Ranked among the top softball players nationally, she continues a family tradition by joining Illinois State.
