Illinois Wesleyan University's women's cross country athlete has secured a spot in the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championships. The announcement came after her top-15 finish at the Midwest Regional Championships. She will compete in Terre Haute, Indiana, on November 23.
Crabtree's performance at the Midwest Regional was notable as she finished 13th overall with a time of 22:03.6, earning her second all-region honor. This is the highest placement for an Illinois Wesleyan runner since Erin McCarey's 12th-place finish in 2015.
Other athletes joining Crabtree from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin include Julia Benes from North Central and Emma Odle from Augustana. On the men's side, teams from Augustana, Carthage, and North Central received at-large bids, while Bradyn Olmstead from Millikin qualified individually.
The championships will be hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at the LaVern Gibson Championships Cross Country Course. The women's race is scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by the men's race at noon.
