The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team has achieved its highest ranking since the 2021-22 season, reaching fourth place in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll. This improvement comes after a strong start to the year, with the Titans holding a 5-0 record. Their victories include wins over UW-Platteville, now ranked ninth, and Cal Lutheran.

Illinois Wesleyan's current position marks a significant rise from their preseason rank of No. 16. The last time they were ranked this high was during week seven of the 2021-22 season when they reached No. 2.

Trine University continues to lead the poll with 623 points and received 23 first-place votes. Washington University follows with 578 points and one first-place vote, while Emory ranks third with one top-spot vote and 556 points. Trinity College (Conn.) completes the top five just behind Illinois Wesleyan with 491 points.

Within their conference, Illinois Wesleyan is the only College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin program featured in the top-25 rankings. Meanwhile, Augustana and North Central are among those receiving votes.

The Titans are scheduled to play against the University of Chicago on Wednesday, November 27th at 4 p.m.

The D3hoops.com Top-25 poll is determined by a panel comprising coaches, Sports Information Directors, and media members nationwide. Points are allocated based on a descending scale starting from 25 for first place.
