LeRoy Community Unit School District 2: How many students met or exceeded expectations in ELA in 2022-23 school year?

In the 2022-23 school year, 31.9% of the students in LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 329 students in LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 who took the ELA portion of the test, approximately 105 (31.9%) passed.

The percentage of LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 1.4% compared to the previous school year.

LeRoy Community Unit School District 2 roughly covers three schools within McLean County and has a main office in Le Roy.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) assesses the progress of students in grades 3-8 in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards in English language arts and mathematics.

According to the 2024 Illinois Report Card, math proficiency among Illinois students in grades 3-8 remains below pre-pandemic levels, while reading performance has recovered. Meanwhile, 11th graders have experienced significant declines in both subjects, falling below pre-pandemic benchmarks.
