Last week, a meeting took place at Alliance Polysacks in Watseka involving several key figures. Kira and I joined Rupak Kobawala, Senator Bennett and his staff, as well as Mary Catherine from Congresswoman Robin Kelly’s office.

Rupak Kobawala, one of the owners of Alliance Polysacks, recently acquired the former Uarco building on Watseka's west side. The facility is equipped to produce 120 million bags annually. Once fully operational, it will employ between 70 to 75 people and operate around the clock.

During the visit, the production line was focused on printing bags for play sand. There is enthusiasm for what this development means for both Alliance Polysacks and the Watseka community.
