The Illinois State athletic department is organizing its first Pediatric Cancer Game on January 5. The event will coincide with the men's basketball game against Southern Illinois at CEFCU Arena. The aim is to raise awareness for pediatric cancer and offer children battling the disease a memorable experience.

Families affected by pediatric cancer are invited to attend with complimentary tickets, and RSVPs are being collected through a submission form. The game's tip-off time will be announced later, as it depends on MVC's agreements with ESPN networks.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear gold, symbolizing the fight against pediatric cancer. Further details about the event will be provided closer to the date. For inquiries, Danny Bugg, assistant athletic director for marketing, can be contacted at 309-438-1320 or via email at dbugg@ilstu.edu.
