Illinois State University has announced the addition of three new transfers to its soccer team for the 2025 season. Head coach Raleigh DeRose shared that Elyse DeSchryver from Northwestern, Rylie Monahan from TCU, and Ella Rentz from DePaul will be joining the Redbirds.

Elyse DeSchryver, a graduate student from Ada, Michigan, is transferring from Northwestern University. She previously earned First Team All-State honors as a junior and Third Team All-State as a sophomore at Forest Hills Northern High School. During her high school career, she scored 57 goals and helped her team secure district and regional championships for three consecutive years. At Northwestern, she appeared in five games over her career.

Rylie Monahan will add to the California representation on the Illinois State roster. After playing her freshman year at TCU, she joins fellow Californians Kaya Durkee and Sophia Carbone on the Redbirds' team. Monahan played seven minutes in one game during her time with the Horned Frogs. Her club experience includes playing for San Diego Surf ECNL and Slammers FC HB Koge ECNL.

Ella Rentz arrives at Illinois State from DePaul University and hails from South Lyons, Michigan. Although she did not play any games last season with the Blue Demons, Rentz brings experience from playing with Michigan Jaguars FC.

The official website GoRedbirds.com and the Illinois State Redbirds App provide information on tickets, athletic fund gifts, multimedia content, merchandise, photos, and more related to Illinois State sports.
